Life is not without its challenges

Haven't posted since the twins joined us. A heck of a lot has happened since. Here are the highlights:
  • March 12 - Jack & Sadie are born
  • March 16 - We all go home from hospital
  • March 17 - April 6 - Determined to continue to nurse the babies. Pumping 8-10 times a day to build up supply.
  • March 17 - April 6 - I keep getting a fever at night. Doc thinks mild uterine infection. 2 rounds of antibiotics are not fixing it.
  • March 27 - April 24 - Mom comes to help with the babies.
  • April 6 - I hemorrhage while at doctors. Emergency hysterectomy. Thank God Mom is here.
  • April 7 - Can't even think about pumping. Give up nursing hopes.
  • April 9 - Louie, my beloved furry kitty friend of 15 years, passes
  • April 9 - I go home from hospital
  • April 17 - Piper turns 4!
  • May 1 - I turn 37!
  • May 8 - Mikey takes third place in motorcycle show!
  • May 11 - Sadie keeps vomiting. Take her to Children's Hospital for ultrasound. All is ok.
  • May 21 - Babies sleep through the night!
  • May 22 - May 26 - Dad & Nancy visit. So great to see them!
  • May 23 - Mike & Amy lucky number 7!
  • May 26 - Pain under ribs. My gallbladder is removed.
  • June 7 - Back to work
  • July 1 - Twins have surgery
Through all this our family, friends and neighbors have been extremely generous and took good care of us. Let's hope the second half of the year is a little less eventful.
