Fun day today at Jose O'Sheas celebrating the 70th and 40th birthdays of Jack & Mikey. And Sydney will be 13 next week!

happy birthday mikey!

hubby and da da turned 40 today. we had a pretty low-key day spent eating and playing. the cake, which was deemed the most "moist/spongy" on the box turned out more like a hard cookie. mikey insisted it was still good and knowing him, a lot will disappear throughout the night.

all in all he is accepting being 40. (well, today he is.) he appreciates his life, work and family and was feeling very fortunate today. i hope this feeling continues and grows as time goes on.

the little potty just doesn't cut it for our big girl. and a few pieces of tp are not enough! we're at the "sitting on the potty" stage. nothing beyond that...yet.

a night out with the girls

what a nice time we had having dinner, adult conversation, and then seeing a movie. my first since i was pregnant almost 2 years ago! the sushi was delicious and the movie - Dan in Real Life - was super sweet. we agreed to do this on a monthly basis and boy, i hope we do!

mikey's latest project is amy's biggest worry.

mom's week off

monday was spent shopping. by myself. at my own pace. it was fantastic.

on tuesday we had a playdate at the gym, then lunch with emma, max and molly.

wednesday was a day at the zoo! piper's favorite part was when the elephant pooped. and she was quite afraid of the french fry eating peacock.


thursday, tomorrow, is a new hair day for me. color and cut.

friday will be spent shopping some more and then girls night out.

and saturday mikey turns 4-0. a day of celebration indeed!

well since the baby book is only half done, and a continuous journal has never come to fruition, maybe the idea of creating both virtually will be the answer we need. plus, a place for family and friends to keep tabs on the days in the lives of the stroco's!
